I’m a physician from Korea who brings hands-on inpatient experience, multilingual patient care, and a collaborative approach to residency. I can help patients understand their care in English, Chinese, and Korean, while supporting colleagues through clear communication and dependable teamwork. Learning from clinical and research teams across the U.S. has strengthened my adaptability and readiness to contribute in new settings.

Clinical experience

A year on the wards

During my year-long rotating internship at Asan Medical Center, Korea’s largest hospital, I was responsible for assessing inpatients under supervision and responding to ward calls. I evaluated patients at the bedside and communicated key findings to the team. I also developed proficiency in arterial blood gas sampling, Foley catheterization, nasogastric tube placement, and paracentesis. This experience strengthened my ability to prioritize clinical needs and contribute reliably to the ward team.

Care across languages

In outpatient practice in Seoul, I cared for international patients in Korean, English, and Chinese. I adapted questions and explanations to each person’s understanding, helping patients make sense of treatment options and follow-up plans.

Freelance production assistant

On music and audition programs, I helped coordinate performers and backstage work as plans changed. Working across different crews taught me to share updates clearly and pay attention to what others needed.

Mathematics tutoring · Volunteer teaching

Helping others understand

For seven years, I taught mathematics to middle and high school students, adapting lessons to each student’s pace and needs. I also volunteered to teach mathematics at community centers and libraries. Learning to listen first and explain patiently continues to shape how I communicate with patients.
